As we continue to grow, we are looking to welcome pipeline project managers to the team. You will be working alongside nationally recognized experts for major household-name clients.


Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Project management and coordination and client interaction
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the delivery of energy pipeline and facilities projects across multidisciplinary team
  • Under the direction of energy unit leadership, directly interfacing clients on behalf of Mott MacDonald and working closely with other teams and units
  • Project controls and planning for combinations of the following energy network project types: Fabricated assemblies, Transmission pipelines, Meter stations, loading and offloading facilities, Compression and pump stations
  • Team mentoring and guidance
  • Oversee project controls functions such as cost, schedule and document control as well as internal and external progress reporting
  • Oversee scope, cost and schedule change management
  • Proactively anticipate, identify and mitigate project risks
  • Managing energy projects, major energy developers and project teams
  • Supporting and coordinating commercial proposals (bids)
  • Assisting with professional excellence activities across subject areas
  • Raising the profile of projects internally and externally


We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering, mechanical, or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in design and construction of pipelines and/or facilities, with a focus on project management and client engagement for at least 3 years
  • Strong project management, leadership, interpersonal, communication, documentation, and technical skills are required
  • PE license preferred but not mandatory, dependent on related qualifications
  • Experience with client interaction and ability to excel in a client-facing role
  • Possess sound judgment; highly developed management, organizational, interpersonal, presentation/training, oral and written communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and work with multidisciplinary teams, deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to prepare and interpret complex reports, recognize problems and define and evaluate solutions
  • Ability to travel, as per client requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME/ANSI/API/NFPA/CSA codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 49 CFR 192 & 195)
